Substances that relieve food stagnation - digestive substances
Shan Zha (Fructus Crataegi) - 10 to 15 g
Shen Qu (Mass Fermentata Medicinalis) - 6 to 15 g
Mai Ya (Fructus Hordei Vulgaris Germinatus) - 10 to 15 g
Gu Ya (Fructus Setariae Germinatus) - 10 to 15 g
Lai Fu Zi (Semen Raphani) - Radish Seed - 6 to 10 g
Ji Nei Jin (Endothelium Corneum Gigeriae Galli) - 3 to 10 g powder 1.5 to 3 g
Food stagnation causes epigastric and abdominal distension and fullness, defecation disorders, dyspepsia and appetite alteration due to spleen and stomach deficiency.
We usually associate qi stagnation with substances that circulate the qi. In cases of stagnation with:
- Constipation combined with purgatives;
- Dyspepsia due to spleen and stomach deficiency with spleen and stomach tonics;
- Symptomatology by cold with substances that heat the interior;
- Moisture affecting digestion with diuretics or moisture drainers;
- Heat with heat purgatives.
