FORMULAS TO MASTER THE WIND
Formulas to disperse exopathogenic wind or dominate endogenic wind and to treat wind diseases.
Exopathogenic wind syndrome remains in the dermal-muscular layer, meridians, tendons and joints with manifestations of headache, wind aversion, skin itching, limb numbness, limb pain, joint inflexibility, eye and eye deviation. mouth and even tetanus with opistotone, etc.
Endogenic wind syndrome is due to deterioration of internal organs consisting of disturbances directed to the upper part of the organism by hepatic wind, wind stirred by exuberance of heat, wind stirred by yin insufficiency, wind by insufficiency of blood, etc. Manifestations are: labyrinthitis, limb tremor or convulsions, lower limb myasthenia, dysphasia, sudden coma and mental unconsciousness, resulting in twisted mouth and eyes and apoplexy, etc.
It is necessary to apply dispersive methods to treat exopathogenic wind and reprehensible method for endogenic wind.
Wind is driving and can combine with other pathogens such as cold, humidity, dryness and heat. That's why we must apply formulas capable of expelling cold, transforming humidity, moistening dryness and eliminating heat.
It is vitally important to differentiate whether the wind is internal or external. Differentiate whether it belongs to cold, heat, excess or insufficiency. In general, diseases of the external wind are more prone to excess and the internal wind has a tendency to be deficient in nature (it can be true emptiness or false excess).
1. DISPERSATE THE EXOPATHOGENIC WIND
Formulas to disperse exopathogenic wind are to treat symptoms caused by aggression from the outside wind with manifestations of headache associated with wind aversion, itchy skin, numbness of limbs or facial paralysis with twisted mouth and eyes, etc.
a) Chuan Xiong Cha Tiao San - disperse exopathogenic wind and numb pain. used to treat headache caused by exopathogenic wind, whether frontal, lateral or partial pain, or apex pain accompanied by chills and fever, nasal stuffiness and dizziness.
Tongue: thin white coating.
Pulse: Shallow and bowstring.
Treats flu, side headache, nervous headache, sinus headache, etc.
It is inconvenient in cases of empty energy and empty blood, hyperactivity of liver yang or empty liver and kidney yin or agitation of the endogenic liver wind.
b) Qian Zheng San - action of dispersing wind, transforming mucus and slowing spasmodic convulsion of wind-mucosity. Used to treat facial paralysis due to exopathogenic wind aggression with mouth and sprained eyes.
Adaptations of this formula treats paralysis of the nervous system of the facial region, trigeminal nerve pain, lateral headache, etc. all of wind mucus origin.
It is inconvenient to use the present formula for energy void and blood void or for internal agitation of the hepatic endogenous wind.
c) Xiao Feng San - disperses wind and tones the blood, eliminates heat and moisture. Used to treat eczema with a characteristic reddening of the skin after exclusion of the vesicles or characterized by reddish patches of irregular contour spread all over the body with a lot of itching and runny fluid after wounds caused by scratches.

b) Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang (excess liver yang - nourishes yin, silks yang, liver and wind) and
c) Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin (excess liver yang - nourishes liver-kidney yin and silk liver heat, wind, rising heat and blood stagnation) in case of liver yang hyperactivity associated with internal agitation of the liver wind.
2. Disability Syndrome
We must tone and moisten simultaneously and thus dominate the endogenic wind.
a) Da Ding Feng Zhu Tang in the final stage of the febrile illness, where the yin has been damaged by pathogenic heat and the wind starts to stir due to the insufficiency situation.
b) Di Huang Yin Zi in case of exhaustion of vital energy, fluctuation of the last yang energy in the surface layer and cloudy mucus trapped in the throat, with manifestations of dysphasia, myasthenia or paralysis appearing.
1. Excess syndrome

It is inconvenient to use the present formula at the end of febrile illness when the patient has stiff tendons or jerky movement of the limbs due to internal wind from yin insufficiency.
b) Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang appease the liver and calm the wind, nourish the yin and subdue the yang. Used to treat liver yang hyperactivity and irregular blood-energy movement due to insufficiency of liver and kidney yin, lack of wood nutrition due to insufficient water.
Manifestations of dizziness and blurred vision, eye swelling and tinnitus, burning pain in the head, anguish and anxiety, drunken face, increasingly twisted mouth and eyes, severe labyrinthitis and loss of consciousness. It is used in diseases such as hypertension and cerebral accidents.

Indicated for symptoms such as hypertension, stroke, hyperthyroidism, vegetative nervous system dysfunction, epilepsy and labyrinthitis.
Pulse: Wiry and fast.
Tongue: Red with yellow coating.
It has the action of calming the mind and stabilizing the conscience.
2. Disability Syndrome
a) Da Ding Feng Zhu Tang nourish the yin and calm the wind. For wind agitation syndrome caused by yin insufficiency. The patient looks withered, weak, trembling.
