GENTIAN
Plant characteristics:
Gentian [Gentiana amarella] is a plant that takes root very well in the ground and usually grows in privileged locations, high up in the hills and blooms in Europe in August and September.
Gentian
For when we get a little down when something doesn't go right. We miss the bus, fail the exam, miss an opportunity: and behold, that emotion returns. Usually, this feeling goes away on its own, but flower essence can be used to speed up the process so we can focus on taking action to make things right, rather than hoping they didn't go wrong.
Gentian is often confused with Gorse which is also a remedy for discouragement when something has gone wrong. The difference between them is the degree of emotion. In Gorse state, the person has already decided to give up trying. The person refuses to be encouraged, and even if he looks for a solution, he will do so reluctantly, assuring everyone that it is not worth trying. In a Gentian state, a person is less pessimistic and better prepared to try again.
The description of Dr. Bach
For those who are easily discouraged. They can progress well with regard to illnesses or issues of daily life, but any delay or hindrance to their progress causes doubts and soon they become discouraged.
