Plant characteristics:

   Gorse [European Ulex] is a plant  that manages to get through the rigorous winter in Europe and at the end of this season it starts to bloom, in general, all the plants beside it are immersed in aridity and  winter cold. The plant has thorns that protect it from insects or animals from attack so it can grow.

Gorse

   For those who have given up on believing or hoping. Gorse represents a more intense kind of despondency and dismay than Gentian, for in the Gorse state people adamantly refuse to be encouraged, so certain are they that their case has no possible solution. When sick, they always feel that their illness is incurable and that nothing can be done.

   Still, Dr. Bach considered it a remedy for uncertainty, and didn't put it with the flowers for despair, along with  Sweet Chestnut . And this reveals that the central problem in Gorse is lack of faith, loss of hope and self-confidence. When we allow ourselves to see situations from a different perspective, there is always a way out. It is this awareness that Gorse floral helps to have.
